From reflecting the landscape to capturing its energy
Every day, enormous amounts of solar energy reach the surfaces of our buildings and simply go unused. What excites me is the possibility of harvesting some of that energy through the glass itself. We're not just designing houses that connect people with nature. We're exploring how nature can help power the experience.
Jaak Tiik, Co-founder of ÖÖD.
A new chapter in ÖÖD innovation
From the beginning, our philosophy has been to challenge conventional thinking about what a building can be and how people experience it. Our mirrored houses created a distinctive way to experience nature. Now we're exploring how the glass itself can play anactive role in the energy systems of our buildings. That's what excites us about innovation. It's not simply about creatingsomething different, but continuously exploring how we can make the experience better.
