MONTES DE TOLEDO, SPAIN — Stay ÖÖD, the adventure hospitality platform behind more than 600 cabins worldwide, has opened its first Spanish destination ÖÖD by Cork Valley. Ten mirrored-glass houses now stand among ancient cork and holm oaks on a 70-hectare private estate in the Montes de Toledo in Castile-La Mancha, overlooking the mountains and reflecting one of the Iberian Peninsula's most untouched landscapes, ninety minutes from Madrid and thirty minutes from the historic city of Toledo.
The Montes de Toledo were chosen for what they still are: one of Spain's least disturbed landscapes, with an unbroken horizon, near-total silence, and a certified Starlight sky rarely found this close to a major European capital. At dusk, the setting sun catches the mirror facades and the houses appear to dissolve into the hillside, reflecting the oaks and sky rather than standing apart from them. Guests wake to that seclusion, and often to company. A herd of semi-wild horses roams the estate freely and regularly wanders up to guests over morning coffee.

Each mirror house is fully self-contained, with hotel-grade interiors and 180° floor-to-ceiling views of the mountains, but no two stays are the same. The houses come in a range of configurations: some with private outdoor saunas, some with hot tubs positioned for the sunset, and select units perched on raised platforms to maximise the panorama. The flagship mirror house features its own private infinity pool with a private hot tub. At the heart of the estate, a shared infinity pool blends into the horizon, overlooking the mountains, open to all guests as the light moves across the hills through the day.
Cork Valley has deliberately built the experience around what most retreats can only promise: genuine privacy. The estate is adults-only and pet-friendly, designed for guests who want to feel entirely alone in the wild without giving up a superior level of service.
