ÖÖD is proud to announce its first-ever project in Southern Europe: the opening of two signature ÖÖD Mirror Houses at Spino Fiorito, a hidden gem tucked away in the historic Lunigiana region of Tuscany. Launched in July 2025, this project marks a major milestone in ÖÖD’s European journey—uniting Nordic design with Mediterranean tradition and timeless Italian charm.
The response to the opening has been overwhelmingly positive. The Mirror Houses have already begun reflecting the surrounding mountaintops, ancient oaks, and vineyard hills, merging seamlessly with the landscape and inviting guests into an experience that is both immersive and unforgettable.

Architecture That Reflects and Elevates
Each of the two Mirror Houses is wrapped in striking 180-degree mirrored glass, allowing them to disappear into the Tuscan countryside while offering breathtaking views from the inside out. One of the two cabins is elevated three metres above the ground, evoking the enchantment of a childhood treehouse—but reimagined with experience in mind.
This elevated Mirror House is the first in the world to feature a private mirror-finished sauna suspended nearly five metres high, a one-of-a-kind design that invites guests to unwind among the treetops while soaking in panoramic views of the Italian landscape.
Whether waking to birdsong or watching the sun dip behind the hills, the Mirror Houses offer moments that linger. Originally a family farmhouse for over a century, Spino Fiorito has been thoughtfully restored into a boutique retreat that honours Tuscan heritage and local Mediterranean traditions. The site now marries local wood, terracotta, and stone with ÖÖD’s cutting-edge mirrored architecture to create a rare sense of luxury, privacy, and harmony with the environment.
